Job Description / Duties

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Chiropodist to join our team on a part-time, permanent basis (with an option to become full-time). As a Chiropodist with our clinic, you will have the opportunity to provide essential foot care services to our diverse patient base. Our clinic is committed to delivering high-quality care and maintaining a supportive environment for both patients and staff. We require a Chiropodist that can commit to a minimum of 2 days per week (including Fridays). NEW GRADS are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive foot assessments and evaluations.
- Provide treatment for foot and lower limb conditions such as corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, and fungal infections.
- Prepare and implement management plans for all patients.
- Perform nail and skin care treatments, including nail surgery if necessary.
- Design and implement prescription custom orthotics (according to the College of Chiropodists of Ontario standards).
- Assess, size and dispense orthopedic footwear if necessary.
- Assess, size and dispense medical compression stockings if necessary.
- Educate patients on foot health management and preventive care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using our electronic medical records (EMR) system (Jane EHR) according to the College of Chiropodists of Ontario standards.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals within the clinic.

Qualifications / Required Skills

- Current registration and in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.
- Proven experience as a Chiropodist, preferably in a private clinic setting.
- Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills.
- Strong knowledge in biomechanical examination, gait analysis and custom foot orthotic prescription (Experience with Paris Orthotics Lab is an asset).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care with empathy and professionalism.
- Availability to work minimum 2 days per week (including at least Friday)

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional certifications or training in areas such as diabetic foot care, wound management, or sports medicine, compression stocking fitting
- Strong background and knowledge with biomechanical assessments and gait analysis.

Additional Information

We offer various treatment options including: Laser therapy for toenail fungus, Onyfix ingrown nail bracing, Shockwave therapy, Swift Microwave therapy (Warts), NEC nail restoration treatment (coming soon).
