Job Description / Duties
Perform and document assessment, diagnosis, treatment
plans, education/counseling, and all clinical care within the
scope of practice as set-out in COCOO guidelines.
* Maintain equipment, and supplies and observe infection
prevention and control standards.
* Collaborate with Centre disciplines and community partners.
* Work towards achievement of performance indicators and
outcomes identified in the Centre’s Accountability Agreement
and Strategic Plan.
Qualifications / Required Skills
New Graduates Welcome !
Current registration with the College of Chiropodists of
Ontario and in good standing with no limitations.
* Willingess to practice full Chiropodist scope.
* Interest in wound care and offloading is an asset.
* Ability to function within an interdisciplinary team setting.
* Proficiency and accuracy in the use of EMR.
* Full COVID-19 vaccination status or medical exemption and
current vulnerable sector police check required.
* Eagerness to make the Chiropody program your own!
Additional Information
Our Director of Primary Health Care is also an experienced
Chiropodist. What a benefit to have this expertise onsite!
* Our new Chiropodist will have a large amount of autonomy
with the advantage of working within an interdisciplinary
model of care. Physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses,
diabetes education, therapists, health promotion and systems
navigation are also onsite.
* The West Elgin Community Health Centre is located in the
beautiful rural community of West Lorne, Ontario conveniently
situated a half hour outside of London and Chatham. This also ensures a lower cost of living than that of larger communities.
* West Elgin is an amazing area to live, work and play with a 10
minute drive to Lake Erie from our Centre!
